When & why did you join Get Ahead VA:
I joined Get Ahead VA for the amazing feeling of being part of a team. Running my own business has been quite isolating, especially in lockdown, so it’s lovely to feel part of something bigger yet still be my own boss.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead VA:
I was an Office Manager for a very busy service department. Working with some of the most popular household names, my responsibility was to ensure all service visits were booked within the given SLA, the engineers had up to date training qualifications, as well as managing the contract agreements and project management of repair work/new installations.
Career highlight to date:
Securing a £15m contract for a further 3 years after the client wanted to look elsewhere. Due to my hard work and determination to maintain the contract, I was able to negotiate with the client and ensure that their business remained with us.
Plans for the future:
I’d love to be able to complete the HR degree I am currently studying quicker than the deadline.
