When & why did you join Get Ahead:
I joined Get Ahead in August 2023, a year after launching my own marketing agency / service, as a great way of adding to my existing client retainers. As a freelancer I’m able to work flexibly – a huge benefit to my young family!
After working with large companies for 15+ years, I love working with startups and SMEs and helping them grow – there’s nothing more exciting than seeing the tangible effects of your work directly paying off.
I pride myself on exceptional client service and Get Ahead gives me a great platform to meet a great variety of new clients.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead:
I worked for 12 years in strategic/creative marketing agencies in London and Sydney. I then moved client side to manage social media strategies in EMEA for Fender, before leaving to take a Head of Brand and Campaigns role for the national smart meter rollout. I then set up my own freelance marketing service in August 2022.
Career highlight to date:
Being responsible for developing the most effective and efficient campaign since its inception for the smart meter rollout (the Einstein campaign), by more than double vs previous campaigns.
Plans for the future:
Continuing to build my freelance marketing service! And to master playing the drums to help improve my relationship with my neighbours 🙂
