When & why did you join Get Ahead:
I joined Get Ahead in 2014. I was already working as a freelance Virtual Assistant and knew it was the path for me. I love being my own boss, having the flexibility to fit my family life around my work and to work on such a wide variety of projects. Being part of such a super passionate and inspirational team at Get Ahead VA is very rewarding.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead:
I was already working as a Virtual Assistant supporting a variety of clients and their businesses. Before becoming a VA I owned a Bar and Restaurant, and prior to that I spent a number of years managing salons in the beauty industry so I have plenty of first-hand experience of the demands and challenges of running your own business. I understand exactly the kind of support that business owners need and how to deliver it.
Career highlight to date:
I was delighted to support one the country’s top female entrepreneurs for a number of years. She was recently voted by the Institute of Directors as one of the country’s top 6 most connected women. It was a complex and challenging role which was also extremely rewarding.
Plans for the future:
Workwise I am looking forward to continuing to support my clients and make their lives run smoother and more efficiently.
