Who I help

You run a growing business and people have become the part that keeps you up at night. Perhaps you’ve just taken on your first employee and the contract is a template you found online. Perhaps the team has grown faster than the policies, and you can feel things starting to crack. Or you’re simply tired of being the person who has to work out employment law, marketing and the admin pile all at once.

I work with owner-led businesses, founders and professional services firms across Kent and East Sussex who want sound foundations without taking on a full-time hire. Sometimes that starts with HR. Often it grows into marketing, administration or a small team around a particular project, and I bring in the right people from the Get Ahead network to make that happen.

My background

I started out as a Russian linguist, moved into marketing, and then built a long career in HR across IT, engineering and the charity sector, most recently as HR adviser to an animal welfare charity.

For many years I was part of the Senior Leadership Team at a global engineering company. That took in a venture-capital-backed management buyout, leading people through significant organisational change, and representing the business in the Far East, North America and South America. In 2018 I accepted the Queen’s Award for Enterprise at Buckingham Palace on behalf of the organisation, which reflected a team effort I’m still proud of.

That breadth shapes how I work. I’ve seen what a business needs at every stage: clear structure, confident leadership and the right people processes in place before the cracks appear. I joined Get Ahead in 2024, and I now lead our nationwide HR Essentials service, which helps businesses put in place compliant contracts, clear policies and practical people processes that support sustainable growth. It combines strategic thinking with hands-on guidance, so that growing a team feels manageable rather than overwhelming.

How I work with clients

I start with a conversation about where the business is and where you want it to be, not a list of services.

Once I understand what you need, I match you with the right expert or experts from the Get Ahead team, and I stay involved after the work begins. If your needs change, the support changes with them. You can start with a few hours, build up as the business grows, or bring in more than one specialism.

My Region

I support businesses across Kent and East Sussex, including Ashford, Redhill, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Canterbury and Crawley.
