Who I help

I help busy business owners understand what’s holding them back, work out what they can hand over, and put the right support in place so they can move forward and scale. My clients come from a real mix of sectors, but a pattern I see often is a business that started with just one or two people and is now growing fast, where the owner isn’t quite ready to bring someone in-house yet. They need someone who can take care of the administration while also providing a genuinely first-class executive assistant service, and quite often that means bringing in more than one person from our team at a time, rather than a single hire.

My background

I left my corporate career in Insurance a couple of years ago, and I’ve really enjoyed bringing parts of that experience into this role. I love problem-solving, and working with directors and business owners to understand exactly what’s holding them back and what we can do about it. Alongside that corporate background, I’m also a qualified professional coach.

Get Ahead first caught my attention through LinkedIn, long before any conversation took place. I kept noticing the business showing up in my feed, and eventually thought, why not find out more. Within the first fifteen minutes of that first call, I remember thinking this could genuinely be exactly what I was looking for. I joined in September 2025, timed around a summer of family holidays, and one of the loveliest surprises was discovering I’d have a mentor built in from day one, fellow Regional Director Kristy Roff, who helped me build my very first client proposal from scratch and has been someone I can simply text ever since.

How I work with clients

I always start by understanding what a business owner loves about their business, and which parts of the work they genuinely enjoy doing. From there, we explore what they’d actually like to hand over, and that conversation often ends up somewhere quite different from where it started, new clients are frequently surprised by just how much more we can help with than they first realised.

One client’s business had scaled quickly after his business partner stepped away, leaving him managing far more than planned. We placed a VA with him, then a social media manager, and when a separately recruited hire fell through just before a family holiday, someone from our team stepped in full time for six weeks so he didn’t have to cancel. Being a parent myself, I know that’s the one thing you really can’t do, and being able to make that happen for him was one of the moments that’s stayed with me.

What makes this possible is the depth of the wider team. With close to ninety people across Get Ahead, the range of true specialists and experts available is something I could never put together with just two or three people of my own, and that’s what lets me match a client with exactly the right support rather than the closest available option.

My Region

Tadworth is home for me, sitting pretty much in the centre of my patch, which makes it easy to reach everywhere I cover. My region stretches from Wimbledon and Kingston, across to Esher and Cobham, and down into West Sussex. I know Esher, Thames Ditton, Hampton and Kingston especially well, that’s where I lived when I was first married, and Horsham has become somewhere I spend a lot of my time, hosting my own LinkUp Networking event there, something I once genuinely dreaded and now count among the things I’ve enjoyed most about this role.

I’m active with Kingston Chamber of Commerce and Surrey Chambers of Commerce, and I make a point of attending the Business in Surrey expos too. I try to stay engaged across the whole of my region rather than just the biggest or most obvious patch, keeping up with connections on LinkedIn and showing up consistently, because the temptation to focus only on where you assume the opportunity is doesn’t always match where the real business actually comes from.

What I love most about this area is how genuinely diverse it is. South-west London is barely an hour from the southern end of my region, yet the businesses and the way they operate can be completely different, a business in Wimbledon has a very different style and different needs from one closer to the coast. Getting to know that range of businesses and brands is one of the best parts of the job.

Outside of work

Outside work, I have a very busy family life. I have three young children, a boy aged nine and twin girls aged seven, and I spend a lot of time with them and running the household. We also have a dog called Roxy, and I’m active in our school community as Chair of the local PTA.
