When & why did you join Get Ahead:
I joined Get Ahead in January 2023, mainly because I am looking to work with a range of businesses in different industries. I welcome the opportunity to work with other likeminded people and take on new challenges. I believe that my skills and experience would allow me to provide the best level of support to potential clients. 

What did you do before you joined Get Ahead:
After spending over 4 years working in the hospitality and customer service industry, over the last 3 years I have worked as an Administrative and Marketing Assistant for an adult education provider; during this time completing diplomas in both Business Administration and Executive Marketing. Whilst acquiring this experience and knowledge, I developed a passion for helping people get things done in a smart and effective way.

It is for this reason, at the end of 2021, I teamed up with a colleague to set up Your Virtual Assistant, to provide flexible administrative and marketing support to professionals and businesses, so they can achieve time freedom and long-term profitability.

Since starting the business, I have had the opportunity to work with various clients, including sole traders, solicitors, and for the CEO of a digital magazine. I have taken this time to fully understand the businesses and implemented my services to aid their success, whether that be administrative duties or marketing support. 

Career highlight to date:
My greatest career highlight so far is setting up my business. At the time, I was working full time in an administration and marketing role, therefore was juggling these commitments with picking up my first clients. This gave me great experience working under pressure and allowed me to finish my full-time role and pursue my dream of become fully freelance. 

Plans for the future:
My goal is to continue growing my client base and gaining experience working with a range of different people. I love the type of work and services I offer, and it brings me so much joy seeing the difference it can make to clients’ lives and businesses. I see this as my long-term career path and intend to keep learning and taking on new challenges.
