When & why did you join Get Ahead:
I joined Get Ahead in November 2023, a few months after taking the leap into the freelance world. When Covid-19 hit I found myself working in the virtual assisting world and absolutely fell in love with the versatility of it. The focus and efficiency I found myself having whilst working from home was very satisfying.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead:
I have always assisted people in a range of industries, from construction to finance, but working online just intensified that variety – which I love. I have also worked balancing a Porsche and Lotus car specialist company’s books alongside the hired accountancy firm, I have used Sage and Xero to accomplish that. I have also worked in the film industry as a production assistant, set design assistant and researcher, therefore expanding my skills set in working with a different calibre of people and programs.
Career highlight to date:
Working for a CEO of a large financial advising firm meant that there was a never-ending list of daily tasks and working virtually meant I was dealing with international clients this was a highlight for me and the job role grew into a busier more cognitive part of the company.
Plans for the future:
I am currently starting a small business in Interior Design as I am looking for a creative outlet, but I still very much want to keep my organisation and office skills sharpened by continuing to assist virtually.
