When & why did you join Get Ahead VA:
I started my VA journey as an independent freelancer in 2022. I decided towards the end of the year that I would like to be a part of a bigger team and offer my services to a wider range of clients. What better way to do this than to ease the workload for my clients, whist doing something I love! 

What did you do before you joined Get Ahead VA:
I have worked in administrative roles for almost 10 years. Most recently I was working as an Advocate for vulnerable adults in settings such as care homes and secure Mental Health Settings. Before that, I was an administration manager in a respite home for adults with physical and mental disabilities. 

Career highlight to date:
One of my clients was nominated for a national award recently. The final decision was dependent on votes and reviews, and social media presentation. I spent a lot of time contacting my client’s consumers and gained enough votes and reviews for my client to win the award which was a massive achievement for her and was something that she had been towards for some time. 

Plans for the future:
My plan is to grow my client business whilst working alongside GetAhead. To broaden my skillset and to create a successful business, so that I can work from anywhere in the world!
