When & why did you join Get Ahead VA:
I joined in July 2021 after working as self-employed and going through a pandemic, I started to miss having colleagues and so when the opportunity arose to be part of a community, I jumped at the chance.
Get Ahead VA provides the same values to their clients that I have always tried to provide and therefore I felt it would be a great partnership.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead VA:
Before joining Get Ahead VA, I had worked for one business in the Education sector for 10 years in various different roles. I developed many skills in these roles such as project management, database management, data input and bookkeeping. I then set up my own business providing bookkeeping, accountancy and administration services to other businesses.
Career highlight to date:
Being asked for personally to be sub-contracted out to another business in their time of need. They had been impressed by my work, enough to want me to support the management of their information systems.
Plans for the future:
In the future, I hope to achieve a name for myself as someone who is able to get the work done; someone who people request as I have been recommended from past/current clients.
