When & why did you join Get Ahead:
I joined Get Ahead VA in October 2016. I was looking for a role which would allow me to use my wide variety of skills in marketing and work from home around with my 2 dogs Ellie and Steven!! I discovered Get Ahead on social media and met up Rebecca shortly afterwards. I instantly felt a connection with Rebecca and Get Ahead and think the company ethos and mission is a fantastic concept to help busy business owners! Get Ahead VA is perfect for me, as it offers the flexibility and variety I need, without the isolation – I am very much part of a team of other professionals just like me!
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead:
Before joining Get Ahead I had worked for a variety of business both large and small family run businesses within marketing. Developing various skills including social media, email marketing, website design, branding and marketing strategy. Marketing is such a huge area which requires a lot of research and self-development to stay up to date with the ever growing demands of businesses and changing technologies. I specialise in working with businesses to truly understand their target clients and what marketing will work for them and also regularly work on WordPress websites, both existing website updates and creating them from scratch.
What do enjoy most about your role:
I feel the most pride when I work with clients that don’t know where to start with their marketing and branding… they have generally tried things that haven’t worked before and are feeling a little lost about how to get more clients. Once we have had a meeting and done some research I can put together a plan of action that is easy to follow to achieve the clients goal of getting more clients!
Plans for the future:
I want to continue helping businesses achieve their goals and sharing my knowledge with them. On a personal note and in my spare time I do a lot of work with dogs and will continue with this to bring as much joy and happiness to as many dogs as I can!
