Area of expertise:  

MS Office specialist (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Transcription, meeting organisation and deadline management.

When & why did you join Get Ahead VA: 

I started as a Virtual PA in 2020 and joined Get Ahead VA in January 2021 as I wanted to be part of a well known brand.

What did you do before you joined Get Ahead VA: 

Before becoming a Virtual PA, I have worked as a PA, EA and Office Manager in both private and public sector, including Police, Education, Health and Real Estate.  I have been responsible for managing a large team of admin staff, leading them through a period of change, supporting a project team who were building a new District General Hospital, setting up processes for a campus of Joint academics, supporting various Board meetings and being referred to as “office mother” by many colleagues.

Career highlight to date:

I have two highlights which I am very proud of, the first being part of the admin team working in Kamp Van Zeist in the Netherlands during the Lockerbie Inquiry and the second being appointed as Business Co-ordinator, a pilot post created in 2016 for a well known Estate Agent. 

Plans for the future: 

I would like to build my client base by helping them to create time to grow their business by taking on office and admin tasks and to show them what a difference a VA can make to their lives.  I am also passionate about mental health and am on a journey to develop my knowledge and experience in this area.
