When & why did you join Get Ahead:
I joined Get Ahead in 2023 because I wanted to connect with a community of experienced, values-led professionals – and work with clients who genuinely care about doing business well. Get Ahead felt like the right fit from the start, and it still does. The calibre of people here, both the team and the wider network, is something I genuinely value.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead:
My background is quite varied; I spent over a decade working in speech and language therapy and specialist education before making the move into marketing. That grounding in how people communicate, process information, and make decisions shapes everything I do now. In the years leading up to joining Get Ahead, I built up my freelance marketing practice, working with small businesses and service providers on everything from social media and content to SEO and email strategy.
Career highlight to date:
Building Spellbound Marketing from the ground up and developing a body of work I’m genuinely proud of – including my own frameworks for ethical, sustainable marketing that actually gets results without burning people out in the process. I am also proud that Spellbound has grown into a three-pronged business covering Ethical Digital Marketing services as Spellbound Marketing, Business and Marketing Coaching and Mentorship as The Spellbound Strategist, and Human Design Guidework and Coaching as Your Spellbound Design.
Plans for the future:
To keep growing the businesses I love, working with clients who want to do things differently, and proving that values-led marketing and commercial success are not mutually exclusive, all while living a truly balanced life myself.
