When & why did you join Get Ahead: I joined Get Ahead in December 2023, to expand my horizons and meet clients around the UK, whereas before I had dealt with clients in my area and to date, I have worked with a client who needed appointments made for their representative to attend, a club looking for sponsorship and a Federation of Small Businesses looking to dip their toe into the water using an out-sourced company to do their tele-sales.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead: I have run my own Freelance Consulting for several years as well as a Community Interest Company (not for profit) working to get Veterans into Work. Before that I had a recruitment agency for many years dealing with temporary and permanent placements in the North-East and abroad.
Career highlight to date: Growing my business from scratch, working with the Training Company and DWP helping to get people into work who are on the autisic spectrum.
Plans for the future: Growing the business and hopefully taking on a member of staff to help me.
