When and why did you join Get Ahead VA?
After leaving my corporate role, I knew I was ready for a new challenge. I spent a year studying and qualifying as an executive coach, determined to use the skills I’d built throughout my career to create something of my own.
I began freelancing for several months before meeting Rebecca in December 2024—and from our very first conversation, I knew this was the perfect opportunity. The support Rebecca provides, combined with the wider Get Ahead community, has given me the benefits of a strong network while still allowing me to grow and shape my own business exactly as I wanted
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead VA?
I’ve spent the past 20 years working in the insurance industry, with much of that time focused on the fintech sector. I’ve been fortunate to work with some fantastic companies in both the UK and the US, gaining experience across a variety of teams while always remaining in the Commercial space.
My roles have combined client-facing work with supporting executive teams, which meant no two days were ever the same. I thrive when I’m tackling complex challenges and finding solutions that make a real difference.

Career highlight to date:
I had the opportunity to run tender processes that brought in the biggest financial deals the company had ever seen. These were events that shaped its future direction and ownership, and I’m proud to have been part of that journey.
Plans for the future:
To grow the Get Ahead offering in East Surrey & West Sussex appealing to both businesses and busy individuals who need help to allow them to focus on what’s important to them in their businesses or home life.
