When & why did you join Get Ahead:
I joined Get Ahead in June 2024, and after meeting Fiona in May, I realised this is a really friendly business and an opportunity to grow my network. I adore the work I do and making a difference to my clients, however, one of the things I do miss is working as part of a team. Whilst the other Experts are not there every day or direct team members, I love the community feel that Get Ahead offers.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead:
I love working with and understanding more about people. After an initial history of retail, store and customer facing roles, I worked for 20 years in the Training, Talent & Development world in large corporate businesses, leading teams working in a variety of sectors. I also qualified as a Coach and I try and use that as much as possible in my daily work.
I have always enjoyed supporting people to reach their goals and now I have my own business, I still support that very same thing – just in a different way!
Career highlight to date:
I am lucky that there have been plenty – however they are all linked in some way! My greatest satisfaction comes from seeing other people succeed – whether it’s Managers I have worked with in the past, team members who have taken on bigger roles and really performed, or even supporting Small Business owners take on a big ‘next’ step for their business.
Plans for the future:
I want to continue to grow my business and support existing and new clients alike. I also want to carry on learning new skills and have some fun along the way!
