Here at Get Ahead VA our people are everything. Our ever growing team has a wide range of highly skilled professionals with different backgrounds, expertise and even different personalities to ensure that we can find exactly the right VA to match our customers’ requirements.
Here’s 60 seconds with our VA Fliss:
Area of expertise:
Copy, Content & CV writing. PA, VA & Admin expert – ‚Äòthe glue that holds it all together’. Light event management
When & why did you join Get Ahead VA:
I love the flexibility of VA work and have worked freelance for some years. Working from home was an easy switch after many years of commuting to and working in the City! I like the outdoor life so moved to the Kent coast where I enjoy coastal walks and bike rides. I am taking time to develop my many creative interests – writing, guitar, Spanish, natural health and sailing.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead VA:
My varied career has resulted in a diverse skill set across many sectors (Medical, Leadership Coaching, HR, Talent Management, Start-up/Entrepreneurs, Legal, Banking and Education). I have temped and contracted for years and built a reputation for being able to ‚Äòhit the ground running’. I have been described by more that one employer as ‚Äòbeing the glue that holds it all together’ and always been an integral part of the team, even when working remotely.
I am flexible with a ‚Äòcan do’ attitude and have the ability to multi-task and generally rise to the occasion. I love working with people and learning about their businesses to ensure clients experience excellent customer service.
Career highlight to date:
Most recently, getting my first freelance PA client to help deliver bespoke Leadership Workshops and launch a niche alternative food business. Plus supporting an amazing Talent Management Director delivering CPD in Latin America – from London – on a job share basis with my colleague in Mexico! That was when I learned that technology would enable a whole new way of working.
Plans for the future:
Develop my natural health practice and creative pursuits and get fit for a physical challenge to raise money for The British Heart Foundation whose research saved my brother’s life recently.
