Here’s 60 seconds with our VA Jane Moody

Name: Jane Moody

Area of expertise:  Systems & processes, working with data, project co-ordination, general admin

When & why did you join Get Ahead VA:

I joined Get Ahead VA in September 2021. My various career experiences, both as an employee and as a business owner, have taught me that it’s really important to find people to work with who not only have the skills and experience to do the work, but who are also a good fit in terms of how they work, communicate and interact. I know that this is important to the team at Get Ahead as well, so felt this would be a good fit for me and a great opportunity to connect with like-minded business owners. I am keen to use my varied experience to help small businesses achieve their goals, as simply and efficiently as possible.

What did you do before you joined Get Ahead VA:

I have worked in a range of roles during my career, notably working as both an analyst and a project manager on large IT projects before going on to run my own business, offering consultancy and VA support for small businesses.

Career highlight to date:

Over two years I played a pivotal role leading a complex workstream on a large cross-functional project at Bournemouth University. I directed a team of analysts and developers to deliver solutions for business critical and wide-impacting processes. The project was particularly challenging and at times I had to significantly adapt the plan and respond to emerging issues, but despite the challenges I successfully managed the implementation of all deliverables within my workstream.

Plans for the future:

To continue to build my client base and work in a way that supports my ideal lifestyle – a balance of fulfilling work and the flexibility, time and headspace to be around for my daughter as she grows up.
