When and why did you join Get Ahead VA? I joined the Get Ahead VA team in October 2018 following a recommendation from a business associate. Working as a virtual assistant allows me to showcase my skills and use my expertise to support clients with their businesses.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead VA? I worked for a building society for 12 years in various positions. This enabled me to gain experience in various administrative duties, as well as team management, telephony and customer service skills. I also gained qualifications in LEAN processing and Microsoft Office programs.
Career highlight to date: Working on a project to streamline a business’s processes, using LEAN techniques, creating process maps to identify ways to improve their workflow, and cutting out the waste to save the client time and money.
Plans for the future: To continue to support small business owners and entrepreneurs with their admin tasks, to save their precious time and enable them to focus on and grow their business and make their clients happy.
