When & why did you join Get Ahead VA:
I joined Get Ahead VA in May 2021, after spending 2020 working for a company in response to the Covid Pandemic. In this time, I worked with a multitude of people, helping streamline processes and systems and realising I just simply didn’t want to be ‘just mum’ anymore. I missed my work, and missed what I am good at.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead VA:
Before Get Ahead, and pre-children, I worked as Project Analyst to a Project Manager, in a worldwide known company. Prior to this, I was Client Services Manager in a medium-sized UK-based company, working in a business-to-business environment with companies such as Royal Caribbean, and Thomas Cook, as well as smaller, luxury companies. Here, internally, I found my love of process improvement and streamlining to ‘get the job done’ quickly and efficiently.
Since children, I have worked in our family business, making sure everything gets done.
Career highlight to date:
Building a department, and driving processes into place in a company leading to increased revenue.
Plans for the future:
I want to increase my reputation for delivering quality with a smile 🙂
