This week sees the return of award winning series The Apprentice to our screens on BBC1. Back for its 11th series we’re sure this set of candidates will be as entertaining as ever. There’s a £250,000 investment at stake and the chance to go into a business partnership with Lord Sugar. This year we are particularly excited to see new board member and aide Claude Littner who has replaced Nick Hewer and will sit alongside Karren Brady. Karren is one of the most inspiring women in business and is a real ambassador for what women in the workplace can achieve. Here at Get Ahead VA we are big fans of the show which is full of entrepreneurship, problem solving, decision making and of course teamwork. It certainly is a job interview like no other!
Whilst you may not have a £250,000 investment on offer, an Apprentice could be just the right next step for your business.
Apprentices are aged 16 or over and combine working with studying for a work-based qualification - from GCSEs or equivalent up to degree level. With possible grants available of up to £1,500 as well as funding to cover the costs of your apprentice’s qualification, it can be more affordable than you might think.
Hiring an apprentice can certainly be a great way to access new and developing talent as well as training up the next generation of leaders in your business. You can find out more by visiting www.apprenticeships.gov.uk.
If actually you feel like you just need some help running your business now then one of our Virtual Assistants might be the answer.
Our team of highly experienced VAs take on the tasks you don’t have time to do, don’t have the skills to do or simply don’t want to do.
