What situation was your business in when you came to Get Ahead VA? Our small business was going through a period of rapid growth.  We were so busy getting through the volume of sales appointments we knew things like sales and marketing administration and analysis were drifting down the priority list and we could not allow that to continue. 

What problems were you experiencing?  There were just never enough hours in the day!  We were facing the classic conundrum of how to keep our people out selling and doing, without allowing them to drown in the day to day admin that comes with making appointments, analysing effectiveness etc.

What might have happened if you hadn’t taken any action?  Although we would have continued to grow our business it would have been at a slower rate.  We would have ‘kept the boat afloat’ but we wouldn’t have had the time, head space or information to help us look forwards. 

How did Get Ahead VA help solve the problem for you?  Our VA Leslie has made a big difference by taking on a number of tasks – tackling specific projects as well as providing ongoing administrative support.  Projects have included postcode analysis to help us understand our effectiveness as well as researching potential awards that could help raise our profile.  Typing up and circulating minutes of meetings actually gets done now and Leslie even books meeting rooms for us to ensure these key communication activities run smoothly.

What has this meant to you and your business?  We have been able to capitalise on growth opportunities and ensure we are making every hour as effective as possible by having the information to make the right decisions.  We can get back to what we do best – being out there selling, knowing that someone is there to support us along the way and complete the tasks that have to be done, but drain our valuable sales time.
