It might seem as though the kids have only just gone back to school but with 11 weeks to go Christmas planning may be well underway for your business. For many businesses Christmas is a particularly busy time so you may need to think about increasing both your staffing and stock levels in order to be ready for the increase in demand and to maximise this key sales window.
For small businesses you may need to consider holiday cover or telephone answering if you plan to close over Christmas. Although the period between Christmas and New Year can be quiet, you may not wish to risk missing out on a new business opportunity from someone who decides to use this quieter time to start planning for the year ahead.
Christmas is also traditionally a time to say thank you to staff, customers and suppliers –- be it through Christmas cards, gifts, parties or entertainment. With business costs being squeezed all the time you may need to think creatively about how to say those thank yous in a more cost effective (and tax efficient!) manner. You also need to evaluate strategically which customers and suppliers are critical to your business and what you can do to help secure their long term loyalty.
Our outsourcing team can help in a variety of ways -– from telephone answering, holiday cover, Christmas party organising to strategic customer assessment and creative gift ideas.
Please get in touch if the thought of Christmas planning is sending you into a panic and we will be happy to help.
